![]() tags.taskpaper ensures that all my favorite "tags" (think: GTD contexts) should be available and autofillable in all my TaskPaper documents.searches.taskpaper is the equivalent of "Saved Searches" or, if you like "Smart Tasklists." Not dissimilar to a very simple version of what OmniFocus calls a perspective.Any and all can be edited to suit your needs. One is a Style Sheet ( style.less), while the others provide "Set It and Forget It" defaults that I like to have available in every TaskPaper document. Sample.taskpaper is a makebelieve, redacted version of a typical TaskPaper document as I would use it. They might be useful in helping you get started with being a TaskPaper power user with a minimum of fussing and fiddling. These are some of my significant TaskPaper files. Would have preferred Rivals Ace, Walk or Monster Parade tho.Merlin's TaskPaper Configuration Files plus a Sample Document What This Is I still prefer Stars personally, mostly because of the story and gameplay, but Tact is a nice free mobile game. The game has some pretty nice "mises en scènes" too, it's sometimes pretty cinematic, like to animate the encounters with boss battles etc. Lots of easily earned gems too, to guarantee lots of 3k gems pull. The IA and x2 speed is a nice touch plus tactics available from the get go unlike in Stars. The game has some redeemable qualities tho! First of, it's super pretty. Mind you, the story is cute and all, but not really interesting. Having humans characters with the vocation system of DQ would have been, imo, so sooo much better. The monsters are nice and all, but don't have anything to do with the story and are completely interchangeable. However!, and despite the name, the game has nothing to do with a FF Tactics, and that's a shame. The game is rather generous too, with lots of gems plus infinite rerolls on the first 3k gems pull at least. The game has a story, lots and lots of units and some good IA. My initial fears were that it was going to be like DQ Wars, this horrendous DSi game, but it's far from that. What do you think?Ĭould only play it for a limited amount of time (the game won't run on my tablet and my phone now gets "unexpected issues" when trying to launch the game), but from the little time I played it it was kinda fun I guess. I just wish it’s a full fledged console/pc game like FFtactics where you can have both human and monster allies. Definitely better than DQ QoS, just missing a multiplayer. I recommend getting atleast 1 monster who can heal and buff, one physical monster and one magical with different elements.Every mission grants you gems, so thats a nice touch, unlike DQ QoS.Game really pushes you to buy gems, some gatcha pulls require you to use paid gems, not free gems gained thru playing. If you see “rerolls”, do it so until you get atleast 1 S tier and 1-2 A tier, maybe some healers Good thing there are draw rates indicated. Does it really need to separate learning abilities to upgrading? UI needs some work, & and be quite slow.Graphics are pretty neat and pretty, environments are better than DQ quest of the stars.Getting all S rank monsters does not guarantee a win, so it’s not so much of a pay to win.Monster placement & timing when to attack is vital.Grind, rank up, improve equipment, equip ranged spells on monster who only do melee, exploit and vary your elements. You can hit a wall when even your S rank monsters can’t beat a mission.I sometimes expect it to be like FFT where I can just aim AOE spells in a blank square and hit all targets but no, it depends on your target Annoying to aim AOE attacks, as it is tied to your movement.Neat feature of auto battle and increased battle speed, useful for grinding while doing other things, but not usefull on tough missions. ![]() If you like FFtactics and fire emblem, SRPG’s, monster collecting games, you’re gonna like this one.Gameplay is pretty fun, especially challenging when your CP matches with the missions minimum CP requirement.Having played over 5+ hours, here’s my initial thoughts and some tips. ![]()
